Installation Guides
Because Spaza cannot anticipate all of the different possible surfaces or possible contaminants that may exist in the contact surface, it is imperative that the user conduct an evaluation to determine the suitability of surface preparations procedures, and any other processes that may have an influence on the tape or the bonded parts. Ensure you follow required local building codes for bathroom installations.
Spaza Dispenser Systems comes with an option of pre-applied with adhesive tape for a non drilling fixation in favour of avoiding unneccessary holes in the wall. For adhesive based installation there are 3 key factors you must consider carefully:
#1 Surface preparations
- Clean all contact surfaces with isopropanol alcohol (IPA)
- Applying a primer will improve initial and ultimate adhesion to many materials
#2 Area of Contact
- Make sure the contact surface is flat and even to ensure full contact with the adhesive tape
- Press entire bracket against the wall to ensure bracket has adhered to surface
#3 Wait
- Leave bracket on the wall for at least 24 hours before use if using pre-applied tape, for best result 48 hours

Cleaning alcohol
Isopropanol (IPA) 70% dilution in water gives a good balance of cleaning and quick evaporation.
Primer
A primer creates a new surface for the adhesive to bond to and can improve initial and ultimate adhesion to many materials. Information about available 3M primers – mentioned below – can be found on 3M website here. Consult a local 3M supplier or distributor to determine which of the availible primers are most suitable.
- 3M™ Adhesion Promoter 111
- 3M™ VHB Tape Universal Primer UV
- 3M™ Tape Primer 94
- 3M™ Silane Glass Treatment AP115
