Technical Reports
Our products have been carefully tested
Welcome to our comprehensive testing report, highlighting the rigorous evaluation of our product’s mechanical endurance, adhesion quality, and durability. At Spaza, we prioritize the quality and performance of our offerings, ensuring that they meet and exceed the highest standards.
Product testing
These tests confirm that our products are built to last, maintaining their functionality even under demanding conditions. With results showcasing endurance, adhesion, underwater durability, and chemical compatibility, we aim to provide you with the utmost confidence in the performance of our products.
Testing our product’s mechanical durability is essential to get insights in our product’s performance. Our tests run for at least 5,000 cycles, which exceeds one action per day, 365 days a year for 10 years. Test was run with load 9 kg +9.000 cycles and +27.000 activations of spring locking mechanism. Product was still fully functional.
In this test 3M VHB tape is peeled from the rigid test substrate in a 90-degree angle at a constant rate. This quantifies the quality of the adhesion of the 3M VHB tape to the test substrate. This test provides confidence that the 3M VHB tape will stick and stay stuck. The 90-degree peel adhesion test is the most accurate test for measuring the quality of the adhesion to a substrate.
For load scenario we set our pneumatic test rig to a 12,5 kg load. 22.361 cycles into the test we stopped due to it passed our simulated period of time.
Adhesion tests have been performed on 3MTM VHBTM Tape bonded to metal which was subjected to 2 weeks and 10 years of submersion in 5% salt water and ordinary tap water. Submersed samples were stored in a jar that was maintained at room temperature. After testing in a peel mode, bright clean aluminium/metal surfaces were observed underneath the adhesive bond line. VHB Tape can act as a barrier that helps protect and prevent galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metallic materials. A combination of adhesive and cohesive failure modes was observed when the bond was broken which indicated very high-performance level.
One metal bracket was submitted to a technical service laboratory. Spaza requested analysis to determine the chemical compatibility with commonly used cleaning products. The test shows that the surface finish of bracket withstand cleaning using common cleaning products.
We initiated this test to visualize and share the powder coating properties from our process, and to compare high-quality stainless steel with common steel. A salt spray test is a corrosion testing method that uses high-saline environments to measure the corrosion resistance of products, paints, and coatings over extended periods This test was run for extreme number of hours. It shows that if a scratch or damage appears in the surface finish that exposes underlying material, delamination of the powder coating from the stainless steel will not tend to.
